"Terrible. A $99 quote turned into a $600 job. First because they needed an electrician, but they actually did not. Plus I already had the replacement unit. Somehow the cost did not reduce when the electrician was not needed. Total scam. "

"The central air system in my condo died and I reached out to a few companies for estimates to repair it. Ben from Call the Bee came out to assess my system and he was by far the most thorough. He was not only knowledgeable, but also personable, he explained everything as he worked, and answered ALL of my questions (I had a lot, I’m not kidding!). He recommended a mini split system and provided detailed estimates for the job within a day. CTB’s estimates were comparable to other local companies, however, it was Ben’s knowledge, thoroughness and patience that ultimately led me to choose Call the Bee. He was also able to schedule my installation so quickly and I am so grateful for that!! Thank you, Ben!"

"Our AC was not working and James from Call The Bee came out right way to check on our AC. He was extremely professional and definitely knew his stuff!!! He explained in detail all our options and went out of his way to schedule our new AC system. He alleviated all my anxiety as I have some health issues and were in The midst of a heat wave. I am extremely happy with call the Bee Service and especially James."

"Always get a second opinion! I requested service for my air conditioner, which suddenly stopped cooling my house. The Call the Bee technician arrived on time, and after inspecting the unit and running some diagnostics, he informed me that the refrigerant level was very low, which indicated that there was a leak. Since the unit had been working just fine so far this season, it was probably a large leak. He provided me with three options verbally: first, add a sealant to refrigerant for around $1,000, which was not recommended based on large leak hypothesis. Second option was to find the leak, at a cost over $3,000 (assuming that finding the one leak would solve the problem); this was presented as a risky gamble for 20 year old system, where there might be multiple leaks. The third and recommended option was to replace my system with 2.5 ton new system for between $16,000 and $19,000. I had another technician come, who stated the refrigerant level was a little low, but at an acceptable level, tested and replaced the capacitor, and for a few hundred dollars my problem was solved! No leaks to ferret out, no need for a new unit. In my opinion, the Call the Bee technician was either unqualified (did not test that all components were working, did not know what level of refrigerant was acceptable) or misleading (framed the problem to point to the solution most profitable for his firm). Hard to see any other possibility."

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE THE WORSE! TWO TIMES I HAVE MADE APPOINTMENTS AND BOTH TIMES THEY ARE CANCELLED JUST HOURS FROM WHEN THEY ARE SCHEDULED TO COME. TWO DIFFERENT TIMES, DIFFERENT DATES, DIFFERENT REASONS AND THEY DON'T SHOW UP! I TAKE A DAY OFF FROM WORK AND THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO GIVE YOU A HEADS UP THAT THEY WILL NOT BE COMING UNTIL THE TIME THEY ARE DUE TO ARRIVE! HOW AGGRAVATING! THEY ALWAYS COME UP WITH AN EXCUSE AS TO WHY THEY HAVE TO CANCEL. WELL NOW I CANCELLED BY CONTRACT AND HAVE A NEW COMPANY WITH A RELIABLE STAFF. ALL I CAN SAY IS IF YOU WANT A RELIABLE COMPANY THEN LEAVE THIS ONE! "
